Ingredients

  1. 1 knobButter
  2. 1medium onion, chopped
  3. 4 cloveGarlic Crushed
  4. 1red chilli pepper chopped
  5. 500 gramsBeef Mince
  6. 2chorizo sausage sliced
  7. 100 gramsButton mushrooms chopped
  8. 1 tbspBasil
  9. 1/4 cupRed Wine
  10. 1 canTomatoes crushed
  11. to tastesalt & pepper
  12. 1 cupBeef stock, one cup water add 1 beef stock cube/ boulion
  13. 1/4 cupmixed coloured sweet peppers
  14. 2 tbspTomato puree heaped

    Melt the butter in a frying pan or deep based pan

    Add the onions fry for 1 minute

    Make a well in the middle then add the garlic and chili pepper to it. Fry for another minute mixing them together

    Add the mince beef and stir, fry until all the red has gone from the mince, takes about 5-10 minutes.

    Add the chorizo all sliced up. Fry for a further 5 minutes. It may look a little greasy but it soaks up as more ingredients go in.

    Add the mushrooms and fry for about 3 minutes

    Add the basil and stir in.

    Make a well in the middle and pour in the wine, fry for 2 minutes then mix.

    Add the tomatoes and mix well.

    Add the salt & pepper and stir in. Turn down and cook on low for 10 minutes

    Add the stock bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Lastly add the sweet peppers and the tomato puree. Stir and simmer for a further 5 minutes should be a lot thicker.

    Add to Serving dish with a blob of sour cream in the middle. Serve in a bowl and chips on the side. Or in the middle of boiled rice.

Cookpad founder Member Ambassador, Also a Cookaholic.I love this Cookpad Site, Recipes, friends, interesting people and outstanding recipes, and able to see and to taste food from all over the world. i have learned so much more here, spices , herbs and lovely recipes of different cultures. also experimenting mixing different herbs and spices and making my own creations .I have cooked for my family since I was 14yrs, home from school as my Grandmother could no longer cook she was 91yrs, my Dad worked and there was only me so I learned quite quick and have always enjoyed it. I only started experimenting with herbs and spices and items I had never heard of before through joining Cookpad 2014 and I'm still learning new things. It is a passion of mine and I always invite my family around so I can create something new for them to try. my children grew up learning lots from me I have 3 daughters all with their own families and two Sons one who cooks for his family also my youngest son who is still at home with me,he comes up with some lovely meals and ideas so I'm proud of them all. 💜
