Cinnamon Syrup

This is based on a recipe I found online. I tweaked it a bit for my own tastes. If I make pancakes, I HAVE to make this syrup for my boys.
Cinnamon Syrup
This is based on a recipe I found online. I tweaked it a bit for my own tastes. If I make pancakes, I HAVE to make this syrup for my boys.
Steps
- 1
Whisk together the dry ingredients in a small saucepan.
- 2
Whisk in the water and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
- 3
Place saucepan on the stove at high heat and bring to a rolling boil. Stir often.
- 4
Let it continue to boil until the mixture is a syrupy consistency.
- 5
Remove from heat and let cool about 10 minutes before serving.
- 6
Come to think of it, I'm not sure my kids wait that long. hehe
- 7
Can be bottled and stored in the fridge. Can't say exactly how long it keeps because our syrup is usually finished within 2-3 days. A week or so is a safe estimate.
