Seive all the dry ingredients in a big bowl (flour+ baking soda + baking powder + salt)

For buttermilk, in 1/4 cup milk add 1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice. Leave it to curdle
Puree fresh strawberries with half cup sugar, strain if required - 3
Mix together strained strawberry puree, oil and buttermilk.
Gradually add the dry ingredients into wet ingredients and fold in together. Don't overmix - 4
Pour the batter in a greased baking tin.
Meanwhile heat a kadai on high flame for 3-4 min. Keep a stand inside it, place the baking tin over it, cover it with a lid.
Bake at low flame for around 40 minutes
Insert a toothpick and check whether it's done or not - 5
Let it cool and demould, serve with sprinkle of icing sugar and glazed cherries..
Cut and serveYou can decorate your cake with cream cheese frosting or icing of your choice... I like naked cakes without frosting 😊
