Make at Home! Kahlua Liquer in an Instant

Liqueur made from coffee beans always has a very high alcohol content.
And it doesn't taste like Kahlua.
I live in a country where Kahlua isn't available in shops. I usually buy it in duty-free import shops. When I tried instant coffee, it tasted really similar to Kahlua, so I did a bit of experimenting.
In order to get this how I like it, I made it over 10 times.
This time, I used 35 % Eau Du Vie (sweet brandy). I can't drink strong alcohol because of my age, so I only used 120 ml. If you use 150 ml it's quite strong -- I think probably the same as Kahlua. Probably.... the real stuff should be around 20%. Recipe by Mon*chou-chou*
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Simmer the water and sugar for a bit over a heat source. Add the coffee in one batch and dissolve.
- 2
Alternatively, add the water and sugar to a large bowl and heat in a microwave at 1000 W for roughly 1 1/2 minutes until the mixture has reduced a bit. Mix together thoroughly, then add the coffee.
- 3
Warning: If cooking in a microwave, be sure to use a big bowl or else it will overflow. Leave Step 1/2 to cool.
- 4
Add in the alcohol little by little, and mix thoroughly.
- 5
Store in a sterilized jar. I wet the bottle and microwave at 1000 W for 2 minutes.
- 6
The alcohol content of this drink is fairly low. If you like it stronger, increase the amount of alcohol to 150 ml from 120 ml.
- 7
This is the instant coffee that I use.
- 8
For the beverage in the main picture, I mixed 1 part milk to 1.5 parts Kahlua.
- 9
Memo: can be made by infusing 30 g coffee beans, 50 g rock sugar, and 1 cup of alcohol. After 2-3 weeks, strain to produce Kahlua.
- 10
However, this method always results in a high alcohol content.

This uses Splenda brown sugar blend, so it's lighter in sugar, but by no means a true diabetic recipe. This could easily be made with regular brown sugar if you so choose also, and the amounts are given for that. It's sweet and creamy and delicious with a scoop of ice cream on top.Cherie

Iced Coffee at Home Iced Coffee at Home
I always use a specialized cold-brew pot to make iced coffee, but I use this recipe when I'm making a large amount or when I'm at my parents' house.Making your own iced coffee is better for the environment, since you won't have to waste a plastic bottle.(With the specialized cold-brew pot, you don't even need tea bags!)It takes 8 to 10 hours for tasty coffee, so I recommend setting it up before you go to bed, or before leaving your home in the morning. If you use only 1 empty tea bag, the coffee grinds may leak out. You may want to use the second bag to cover the first with the opening at the other end, strain the coffee through a strainer, or transfer it to another container through a tea strainer. Easy and Delicious! Instant Iced Cafe au Lait Easy and Delicious! Instant Iced Cafe au Lait
An award-winning bartender once taught me how to make a delicious whisky and soda. I applied the same techniques to a cafe au lait made with instant coffee, and it was really tasty. The key is to mix the ice until the glass becomes cold. If you occasionally shake the glass so the coffee touches the ice, it will chill more quickly. Recipe by 239 cookpad.japan -

Dalgona Bustelo coffee ☕ with amaretto Dalgona Bustelo coffee ☕ with amaretto
Dalgona Busteloo amaretto ..My husband and me récipe ...enjoy. Add all the coffee, sugar and boiling water in a bowl (you can easily double or triple this recipe). Using a hand mixer or stand mixer and whip on one of the higher speeds.Whip the entire mixture for about 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides and whip any bits that didn't get whipped.Taste (if is very strong! But of course diluted with your milk) and add more sugar IF desired. I've seen some people add another tablespoon of sugar, but it was fine for me. Remember it'll be diluted with the milk!Add the coffee to a tall glass (about 8-12 ounces) of your favourite milk. I've tried it with soy milk, almond and 0ats milk., then spoon the whipped coffee on top. If using hot, just add it to the glass.Using your spoon or straw, stir vigorously to swirl it into your milk.Sip and enjoy! Also take a photo 😉 Zelibeth Ditterline
