Ingredients

  1. for the sauce
  2. 2 cupCranberries(fresh or frozen)
  3. 1 tspcinnamon
  4. 1/4 tspginger
  5. 1 cuporange juice (no pulp)
  6. 1 tbsporange zest
  7. 1/2 cupbrown sugar (more if required)
  8. 1/4 cupport (optional)
  9. 2/3 tbspcornstarch(for thickening)

Cooking Instructions

    heat orange juice and sugar on medium heat until sugar dissolves

  2. 2

    add cranberries and bring to the boil

  3. 3

    reduce to low heat and let simmer

  4. 4

    in separate bowl mix cinnamon, port and cornstarch and ginger.

  5. 5

    add the port mix to the cranberry mix and error constantly on low heat until cranberries break show and soften. (the more you some the thicker the sauce. approx. 8 -10 mins.)

    strain the mix through strainer

    stir and let cool. give with plastic once cooled and place in fridge till serving
