Macaroni Soup

It's so hot that I don't feel like eating anything fried or sautéed. A soup dish is perfect right now—easy to eat and swallow.

It's so hot that I don't feel like eating anything fried or sautéed. A soup dish is perfect right now—easy to eat and swallow.
Steps
- 1
Boil the macaroni, then drain and toss with a little cooking oil to prevent sticking. Peel, wash, and cut the vegetables into bite-sized cubes.
- 2
Add the pork bones to a pot with 10 1/2 cups (2.5 liters) water. Simmer until the meat is tender, skimming off any foam. When the meat is soft, add 3 tablespoons fish sauce and 1 teaspoon seasoning powder, then add the vegetables.
- 3
Simmer for a few more minutes. Place the macaroni in bowls, ladle the broth and vegetables over, and enjoy the rich, sweet flavor of the vegetables. This refreshing macaroni soup is perfect for hot weather!
