Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Beat the yolks with the sugar.

Add the oil and yogurt to the mixture and mix well.

Sift the flour and gradually add it to the mixture along with the baking powder.

Grease the cake pan with a little butter and pour in the batter.

Bake at 350°F (180°C), using both upper and lower heat. (I place a tray with a little water in the oven to keep the cake moist.)

Once the cake is baked, let it cool. When cool, use a serrated knife to slice it in half horizontally.

After separating the two layers, pour the evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk over them. Refrigerate for about 2 hours to let the cake absorb the milk.

Slice the peaches and place them between the cake layers.

Whip the heavy cream and spread it over the top of the cake.

Sprinkle the shredded coconut on top and add the candied cherries.
