Cut them on a bias/angle

Heat a nonstick pan, add butter golden syrup, hotsauce, red pepper flakes, garlic, and salt.

Bring to a simmer and add hotdogs.

Mix the cornstarch and water. Add to the simmering sauce stirring as it thickens.
