Steps
- 1
Take your cooking pot,add oil.Let the oil heat.Add your onions.
- 2
When your onions starts to turn brown in colour.Add your garlic, ginger, tumeric paste
- 3
Keep stirring at this stage as your mixture may burn easily.Add your salt,Pilau masala and keep stirring.
- 4
Add your tomato paste, meat, and green peas and keep stirring
- 5
Add 2 cups water and let the mixture cook on its own flavour for 5 minutes.Stir at intervals.
- 6
Then add water, taste for salt.A jug of rice is equivalent to 2kgs of rice, therefore in this case, normally you will need 6 jugs of water. But I like reducing mine with one jug to be compensated by the steam towards the end of cooking the rice.
- 7
When the water starts to boil, add your rice and stir once.
- 8
Let your rice cook until the water reduces
- 9
When the rice starts drying, reduce heat to the lowest setting.Cover your pot with a piece of foil paper, put the lid on top and let your rice dry completely.
