Samvat rice kheer
Steps

Wash and soak the samvat rice for half an hour.

Boil the milk in a heavy bottom pan and add soaked samvat rice into it once the milk boils.

Stir continously with spoon after 3-4 minutes.

Add saffron into it and cooked on low flame.
- 5
Cook the mixture till the milk and rice gets totally mixed into each other and reaches to thick consistency.

Than add sugar, cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits into the kheer and mix it well. Switch off the flame.

Garnish with chopped pistachio. Serve hot or cold as your choice.
