Ingredients

  • 1 litrewhole milk
  • 10-15 almonds
  • 10-15 pistachios
  • pinchnutmeg powder
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • pinch saffron
  • to tasteSugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil half cup water and soak almonds in it for 5-10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Peel almonds and pistachios, and coarsely grind or roughly chop them.

  3. 3

    Bring milk to a boil and then allow it to simmer on slow flame till it becomes 3/4th of the original quantity.

  4. 4

    Add sugar and continue to simmer the milk till it reduces some more.

  5. 5

    When the milk reduces to almost half, add saffron strands and mix well.

  6. 6

    Add cardamom and nutmeg powder, and mix well.

  7. 7

    Add chopped almonds and pistachios, and mix well.

  8. 8

    Allow the milk to simmer till it reduces to half the original quantity and then turn off heat.
