When I don't even have time to cook rice, and I want to make an easy dish, I use some frozen or leftover bread that I usually have at home. I also store the canned tomato sauce as well, so when I don't have time to cook, I make this gratin. The canned items come in handy on such an occasion.Other than the bread and the canned meat sauce, you can use any ingredients that you have in your refrigerator.You don't need to sauté or anything.
