I was really craving for some burgers but also wanted to try and eat a little healthy for a change so I tried making some at home!

I was really craving for some burgers but also wanted to try and eat a little healthy for a change so I tried making some at home!

Peel and boil the sweet potatoes, carrots and french beans until cooked.

While that is being cooked, chop the onions, tomatoes and cilantro.

When the vegetables are cooked wait till its slightly cool and then empty it in a bowl.

Mash the vegetables and add 2/3rd of the onion, cilantro and mix well. Also add the seasonings. Shape them into patties.

Ready a pan on the gas with a little oil and add the rest of the onion and the tomato. Fry till the onions are translucent. Transfer that into a plate.

In a pan add some oil. When hot, cover the patties in the maida and breadcrumbs and fry until crisp.

When they are ready you can assemble your burgers however you like and can add or make any changes to it. I made mine with whole wheat burger buns

For mine, I applied a little olive mayonnaise on both sides. Lettuce on one side and topped with the patty and a cheese slice. On that went the fried onions and tomato.
