Peanut candy (peanut brittle)

This candy is called “Bala ka kwabo”, don’t know how it originated but it was one delicacy I don’t miss every time I visit my hometown, back then with just 5naira you will get it in bunch tied in a nylon, and you will crunch on it as you go jolly jolly minding ur business 😹
Anyways I have always wanted to make it myself, with a basic idea that it’s just sugar & nut , I gave it a try and it came out wonderful #feelingnostalgic

In a pot add the sugar, then 1 cup water, stir until dissolved. Cover & let sugar cook

Open and stir the sugar, it should have become stick after 10-15m of cooking, once it starts turning Amber, like caramel color, stir then add the peanuts

Layer a parchment paper, & arrange the sticks, pour the candied peanut onto the parchment paper & stick.

Allow to cool before removing from the paper. I garnished with some pistachio nuts
