This fish patudi is one of the best.popular & delicious recipe of Bengal where fish filets or fish paste are used & steamed with mustard,poppy seeds paste ,wrapped by banana leaves.

Marinate the vetki fish paste with salt,turmeric powder & lemon juice for 15 mints.

In a bowl put mustard seeds paste,poppy seeds paste.,coconut paste.Mix well with the marinated fish & keep it for 1/2 an hour.

In order to to make the banana leaf foldable hold it over direct flame for a while.Grease the glossy side of the banana leaves with some mustard oil.

Take some marinated fish paste on the middle of each banana leaf piece.

Put a cheese cube on the centre of the marinated fish paste & again covered it with some marinated vetki fish paste.Add some mustard oil, 1 slitted green chilli, chopped coriander leaves.

Wrapped the fish pastes by folding the banana leaf from all the sides as parsel & tie it with a thread to secure it.

Heat a non stick tawa after greasing it with little bit of oil, place the parcels on it.Cover them with a lid & cook on medium heat for 10 mints on each side.

Remove the parcels from the tawa,discard the threads from the parcels.

Your mouth watering fish patudies are ready to serve.
