  1. 1 kgChicken (small pieces)
  2. 3Onions (sliced)
  3. 5Tomatoes (chopped)
  4. as requiredWhole Garam masala (few Cinnamon, Cloves, Black Peppercorns and Cardamon)
  5. 1 tbspFennel powder (Saunpf powder)
  6. 1/2 tspCummin powder
  7. 1/4 tspCoriander powder
  8. 1-2 tspChilli powder
  9. 1/4 tspGaram masala
  10. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder(little less )
  11. 2 tbspTomato Puree
  12. 2 tbspGhee
  13. 1 tbspOil
  14. 5Potatoes (Halved)
  15. 1 tbspGinger Garlic paste

Steps

  1. 1

    Blend tomato and powder spices together with ginger, garlic and tomato puree.

  2. 2

    In a pot put ghee and oil keep on flame add onions then saute till golden brown.

  3. 3

    Add whole garam masala and chicken pieces, mix well.

  4. 4

    Let onions blend well with chicken.

  5. 5

    Now add tomato mixture and cook till almost done, add potato pieces and simmer.

  6. 6

    If the gravy is bit watery keep on high flame till it thickens up little.

  7. 7

    Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
