Kathal ki sabzi Kathal ki sabzi
#reststyle#goldenapron16In summer's there is a lot of produce of jackfruit and raw Jackfruit curry is one of the main cuisines in the north though raw jackfruit /kathal is cooked all over india in different ways . Kathal is normally deep fried and then cooked in the gravy but here i have opted the healtheir option of pressure baking and cooking . It's not only tasty but also meaty at the same timeThe spices play an important role in the variation of flavours. In the north whole cumin and garam masala are the main spices used and in the yeast the kathal is cooked with panch phoran . Here i have used the combinatuon of the northen and eastern spices to cook . It is even said that kathal is cooked a day before and served the next day. The more it rests the more flavour is imparted. So very interesting !! Reena Andavarapu -

#ebook -41#onerecipeonetreeRajma with Jeera Rice is cooked/eaten in almost every household in India.A made for each other combination that my family love! What makes this recipe different from rest, and the story behind it- If you visit Vaishno Devi, at the foothills, you will find simple small restaurants that serve you just rajma rice. Rajma cooked in pure ghee that has no onion garlic, not over spicy, served by pouring raw desi ghee generously on top, that makes it irresistible. The secret behind the delicious rajma is that it is left to simmer for hours to create a creamy gravy. You won't forget the taste of this hot platter served to you when it's freezing cold outside in beautiful foothills of Jammu. To create the same magic in your kitchen do follow this recipe. Shahi Mutton Kasundi Shahi Mutton Kasundi
#post21 - This is a real shahi dish where mutton is cooked in a creamy mustard gravy. It goes well with pulao, jeera rice, plain Biryani, tandoori roti, naan or any Indian bread. In this recipe, I have added kasundi (bottled Bengali mustard sauce) and almond paste to make the consistency more rich and creamy. So you have an easy and a yummy mutton curry to relish. In case of non-availability of kasundi, you can use some homemade ground mustard paste. So go ahead and try this delectable dish and relish with any form of rice preparation or Indian bread. I marinated the mutton with yoghurt, ginger-garlic paste, and other dry spices before continuing with my cooking process. The end result was simply awesome with a hint of mustard flavour and the creaminess coming from the ground paste of almonds. It is a great party recipe for special occasions. #goldenapron Bethica Das -
Kashmiri Pulao Kashmiri Pulao
#reststyle - This is a traditional Kashmiri style pulao, loaded with dry fruits and cooked in saffron infused milk. It is a very easy recipe and quite popular in many restaurants. Though it slightly differs from the usual pulao as it has minimum of spices, is slightly towards the sweeter side due to the presence of dry fruits and is non spicy. Few chopped fresh fruits, fried paneer cubes and fried onion may be used to garnish this exotic rich pulao. It can be served along with any veg. / non-veg. side dish or raita. Bethica Das -

BBQ jackfruit sandwich with pineapple slaw BBQ jackfruit sandwich with pineapple slaw
This is a great vegan dish that tastes just like BBQ pulled pork sandwiches. The pineapple overs a nice sweetness to it. I get my Jackfruit from Whole Foods in a can, you can get it fresh but it is very difficult to cut up as the fruit is massive. You can also buy premade bbq jackfruit from the brand Upton if in a time crunch. kelsey schoendorf -
Roast whole Pig Roast whole Pig
I have cooked a pig once before in a Caja China. That first time I followed the recipe from the Caja China company exactly. This time I wanted to take my pig to the next level and add my own spin on it. Note this brine is great for chicken and turkey also. Just remember if do scale it down for poultry, make sure you do NOT get a self basting bird. The end product will be way too salty. Dan Krause
