Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 500 gmschicken thighs and drumsticks
  2. 8garlic cloves
  3. 3 inchesginger peeled
  4. 2 tbsphoney
  5. 2 tsplight soy sauce
  6. 1/2 tspcornflour
  7. 2 tspcrushed pepper
  8. 1 tspsesame seeds
  9. 3 tbsplemon juice
  10. 1/2 tspred chilli flakes
  11. 2 tbspoil/butter
  12. to tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Crush ginger and garlic, do not make fine paste.

  2. 2

    Pat dry chicken pieces, put it in a bowl. Apply crushed ginger garlic, crushed pepper salt and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Keep aside for an hour to 4 hours.

    Heat up oil/butter in a wok or kadhai. Add marinated chicken. Cook on high heat for 5 minutes then reduce the flame or medium. Cook it under the lid for 15 minutes.

    Open the lid, by now most of the liquid will be absorbed by the chicken. Cook until the chicken is done.

    Mix well remaining 2 tbsp lemon juice, soy sauce, and corn flour.

    Pour it over the chicken and stir quickly. Now add honey and stir keeping the flame low. Sprinkle sesame seeds. Cook only for 2 minutes after adding the honey.

    Taste at this stage, add more seasoning and lemon if required. Sprinkle red chilli flakes and serve hot.
