Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupgreen Chana-popularly known as cholia
  • 1Green chilli chopped
  • 1Finely chopped onion(optional)
  • 1 inchGrated ginger
  • as per tastesalt,
  • 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  • 1/4 tspcoriander powder
  • as per tasteamchur powder
  • 1/2 tspGaram Masala
  • 1/4 tspajwain
  • as requiredWheat flour -kneaded
  • as requiredGhee for shallow frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix everything nicely mashing cholia with hand or a masher

  2. 2

    Pinch some wheat flour dough
    Roll it a little
    Apply ghee.

  3. 3

    Place the mashed filling
    Close like a ball holding edges
    Pat a little to flatten.

  4. 4

    Roll in the flour and make a big chapati with the help of a rolling pin.

  5. 5

    Place on the hot tawa
    Apply ghee and let it fry nicely
    Serve hot with butter pickle or dahi

  6. 6

    Yum Punjabi Parantha is ready to enjoy.
