Dum aloo is basically made with baby potatoes. But I have used normal medium potatoes.Boil the potatoes and peel and let the cool. Cut into two halves.Apply salt and haldi powder.

Fry these potatoes and keep aside.

Chop onions, tomatoes, garlic a the ginger.

Grind all these to a smooth paste.

In a kadai take 2 tbsp oil and add one bay leaf, jeera, black peppercorns, cloves and saute.

Then the onion tomato puree and add kashmiri chilli powder, haldi powder,red chilli powder, coriander powder and mix well. Cook till oil separates.

Then add curd and little water and cook on slow flame till oil floats.

Add salt to taste and add fried potatoes, garam masala and chopped coriander. Give it a mix. Cook on medium flame for 10 mins. Serve hot with roti or naan. Yummy Dum Aloo is ready.
