Winter is here and this is the season you gets lots of green vegetables.As such one gets Broccoli in all season but it’s cheaper in winter at least in Ahmedabad. You can cook so many tasty recipes using broccoli.

Broccoli is a great sauce of vitamins K and C, a good sauce of folate (folic acid) and also provides potassium, fiber. Vitamin C – builds collagen, which forms body tissue and bone, and helps cuts and wounds heal. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and protects the body from damaging free radicals.

I cooked broccoli tikkies today.

Ingredients

2 people
  • 200gms
  • 25 gmscheese/ paneer
  • 1medium size boiled potato
  • 2 tablespoonsbread crumbs
  • To tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut broccoli into pieces.Chop in chopper or grate it

    Microwave for a minute (no oil needed)or sauté for two minutes in kadai with one teaspoon of oil. Grate boiled potato and cheese(cheese can be replaced by paneer. Want healthy then don’t add cheese)

    Add bread crumbs and salt.Mix all ingredients.

    Make lemon size ball and flatten with palm. You can dip fry or shallow fry in non stick pan(if you want healthy option).

    Serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
