Dried Beef Cheese Ball

Ingredients

  1. 2pkgs cream cheese 8 ounce each @ room temperature
  2. 1large jar 4.5 ounce Armour dried beef (rinse each slice with warm water to remove excess curing salt, let drain in colander then pat dry and dice.)
  3. 6green onions finely chopped
  4. 1 teaspoongarlic powder
  5. SplashWorcestershire sauce

Cooking Instructions

    Cut cream cheese into cubes add to mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Add the garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce to cream cheese and mix well.

  3. 3

    To the cream cheese mixture add 1/2 of chopped beef and 1/2 the chopped onions. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Put remaining onions and beef in another bowl and toss ingredients together.

  5. 5

    Put a little vegetable oil or cooking spray on your hands and form a ball with the cream cheese.

  6. 6

    Roll the ball in the remaining onions and beef. Cover and refrigerate.

  7. 7

    I serve with crackers.

This is so old school, I LOVE it! Brings back fun memories. Had to make snacks for my dad's poker games in the 1960s, and he always wanted beef roll ups, spread the filling on the pressed beef, roll up, slice & toothpicks. Gonna have to make this!
