Winter is the time when most of the colourful vegetables are available in the market. To beat the chilled cold weather we often want to eat something special dish which could satisfy both our soul and stomach. So I am sharing here my winter comfort food which is simple as well mouthwatering dish. It is " chicken curry with winter veggies ". In this recipe Chicken is cooked in low/medium flame and winter veggies are added step by step. I love to make this recipe a little bit spicy but you can reduce spiciness according to own choice.

To beat the chilled cold weather we often want to eat something special dish which could satisfy both our soul and stomach. So I am sharing here my winter comfort food which is simple as well mouthwatering dish. It is " chicken curry with winter veggies ". In this recipe Chicken is cooked in low/medium flame and winter veggies are added step by step. I love to make this recipe a little bit spicy but you can reduce spiciness according to own choice.

Clean chicken. Wash vegetables & Cut into desired/preferable sizes.

Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and fry for a few minutes. Then add ginger garlic paste. Fry till they turn into golden yellow.

Now add chicken, fry for 2-3 minutes.

Add salt and turmeric powder, mix well and fry for 15-20minutes in medium flame.

When chicken starts leaving oil, add veggies step by step. Fry them for 10-15minutes.

Now add cumin powder, coriander powder and black pepper powder, mix well & fry for 2-3minutes.

Add chopped chillies and tomatoes, fry untill all tomatoes become soft.

Add garam masala, fry for 2-3minutes. Add water in very small amount, let it evaporate till chicken become tender. If needed again add water.

When chicken becomes soft add spring onions, fry for 4-5minutes. And its done!

Remove from the flame, garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot with chapatti/roti or rice.
