While growing my own pumpkins for many years I hated to waste the leaves which I knew were edible. I searched for a recipe that would do justice to their flavour and entice my children to eat these amazingly healthy leaves.

While growing my own pumpkins for many years I hated to waste the leaves which I knew were edible. I searched for a recipe that would do justice to their flavour and entice my children to eat these amazingly healthy leaves.
Steps

Wash the leaves thoroughly.

Its important to cut the leaf off the stringy and prickly veins.

Chop all ingredients roughly and crush the peanuts and almonds in a rustic manner.

Fry onions and nuts untill brown
- 5
Add pumpkin leaves and lightly fry.
- 6
Add tomatoes and water and simmer for 10 minutes
- 7
Add handfull of seasame seeds just before serving
- 8
Serve as side dish.
