Ingredients

75 minutes
6 servings
  1. 2 cupsflour
  2. 1egg yolk
  3. 1 teaspoonlemon juice
  4. 5 teaspoonssoybean oil
  5. as neededWarm water
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Oil for frying
  8. Filling of your choice (I made them with cheese and chorizo, ground beef, and cheese with quince paste)

    In a bowl, combine the flour, egg yolk, lemon juice, and oil. Gradually add warm water until the dough forms.

  2. 2

    On a floured surface, knead the dough well until it is smooth but not sticky. Let it rest for about 20 minutes.

  3. 3

    Proceed to make the empanadas. Fry them in hot oil, but not too hot, to ensure they don't brown on the outside while remaining raw inside.
