Cook the moong dal for 2-3 whistles and get ready with the ingredients.

Heat a saucepan with oil and spluter mustard and dry red chillies and curry leaves. Add the garlic, slit green chillies and ginger. Then add the tomatoes and fry for few minutes.

Add water and the boiled dal. Add the cumin pepper powder,sambar powder,salt and coriander leaves. When the forth forms on top, switch of the flame. Do not boil.

Add the lemon extract and give a quick mix. Close and rest for few minutes. Serve hot with steamed rice.

Note : Remember not re heat the lemon rasam as the taste may change. Prepare just 10 minutes before your lunch time, as you can serve it hot.😋
