Bring water to a boil

Wash rice quickly, do not soak

In cooking pot add vegetable oil and cinammon sticks

Add drained rice and salt, stir until rice is coated in oil

Add hot water

Cover with air tight lid

If you do not have air tight lid take afew pages of newspaper, wet them, place them over Sufuria and cover. This traps the steam inside. And the rice cooks well.

In a cup mix the food color and the tbsp of water. When the rice is cooked open lid and pour over in a random pattern, cover for two mins.

Turn off fire. Using fork rake through the rice to reveal a beautiful mixture of colored rice.

Serve with favorite stew. I served mine with beef curry
