This here is how I will be cooking my dengu stew from now onwards. It is that goood😋😋#stayhome

Gather all your ingredients

To your cooking pot add the oil and onions. Fry them till tender and translucent then add the ginger-garlic paste. Mix and let them cook till the aroma fills the room

Add your spices : turmeric, royco, garam masala, black pepper and paprika at this point. Mix everything till combined and let them cook for 2 minutes. Let your heat be on low so that they don’t burn (kuungua)

Add your tomatoes and the green bell pepper. Add some water. Mix, cover and let the tomatoes cook till tender

Add the carrots and mix. Let the carrots cook for like two minutes. By now you should be having some thick stew of all the vegetables we’ve been adding. Add salt at this point

Add the dengu now and mix till everything is well combined. Pour in the milk, mix and let your stew cook for like 3-4 minutes

Add the coconut milk/ cream. Stir your stew and let it cook for 3 minutes or so. Garnish with coriander.

Serve with rice or chapati and enjoy🤤
