Apple Danish Apple Danish
Danish at the store is very crispy and delicious, but it's also loaded with butter, so I came up with this recipe using only a modest amount of butter in the dough and put some filling inside. The dough will not get soggy if you remember to wipe off any moisture on the apples before you make them into a filling. Simple Danish Bread Simple Danish Bread
I don't have a bread maker. I just rely on the bread-rising function of the oven I bought 5 years ago. This is a simple and delicious Danish pastry dough. It takes about 2 hours just to let it sit in the fridge. You can make good use of the time by doing housework while waiting.Once you try it, all of the steps are rather easy aside from the amount of time it takes. Recipe by m&coo cookpad.japan -

Danish pastry Danish pastry
I don't think I will be able to eat a store bought danish after being spoiled by these. Big thanks to my friend who so kindly shared this recipe with me and spent hours instructing me. Takes about 5 hours to make (including chilling time, but well worth the effort). Dough can made ahead and refrigerated for 3 days. Or shaped and frozen for approx 3 months. Please see my cream cheese and raspberry filling recipes for some homemade filling inspiration. You can always use jam or preserves too! Lil_Momma -

Stacked Imagawa Cake Stacked Imagawa Cake
My father loves this. Nichirei brand makes a frozen Imagawa cake but they were sold out and I happened to have some red bean paste, so I made this myself. Since I like it better with a very small amount of red bean paste, I made this recipe so that it could be adjusted. This uses large round bottomless cake rings, so keep the size of the molds in mind and don't fill them up too much. Once they plump up, flip them over. (Test by eye: when the raw parts of the batter begin to hold together, it's ready to be flipped.) The baking soda creates a nice browned color, and the baking powder helps them plump up. Recipe by happyaiko cookpad.japan -
