Apple Danish

Danish at the store is very crispy and delicious, but it's also loaded with butter, so I came up with this recipe using only a modest amount of butter in the dough and put some filling inside.
The dough will not get soggy if you remember to wipe off any moisture on the apples before you make them into a filling. Recipe by Maria358

Cooking Instructions
- 1
■ Apple filling ■ Put sliced apples, sugar, and butter into a pot and simmer over low heat while stirring. Once the apples turn yellow, it's done. Drain to remove any liquid and let cool.
- 2
■ Soy milk custard ■ Beat the egg and sugar together in a bowl. Sift in the cake flour, add the soy milk and mix them all together.
- 3
Microwave for 1 minute, take it out, and whisk thoroughly. Microwave again for 1.5 to 2 minutes and whisk well. Repeat this process for 2 to 3 times until it becomes nice and thick. Once it cools a bit, tightly cover with plastic wrap and chill completely in the fridge.
- 4
■ Bread dough ■ Put the ingredients into the bread maker, let it knead and rise once. (Please adjust the time accordingly.)
- 5
Punch down the dough, and divide it into five pieces with a bench scraper. Roll them up individually again, cover with a tightly wrung out kitchen towel, and let rest for 10 minutes.
- 6
★ Shaping ★ Roll out the dough into a rectangular shape, and place the custard and apple filling in the middle, in that order.
- 7
Make long cuts on both sides, leaving about 1 cm between each cut. Fold the cut strips over the filling, alternating between each side.
- 8
★ 2nd rise ★ Place the dough on a baking pan lined with parchment paper, and let it rise for about 35 minutes at around 38 to 40℃.
- 9
Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sliced almonds. Bake for about 13 minutes in a 180℃ oven. Once baked, cool on a rack and sprinkle some powdered sugar.
- 10
★ Variations ★ Using the same dough, I made corn mayonnaise bread and cream cheese/blueberry jam bread.
- 11
Here, I put a chocolate bar inside and made chocolate bread.
- 12
Just place the bar in the middle like you did with the apple filling.

Apple Tart Apple Tart
I wanted to make a delicious apple tart filling without using heavy cream.I revised a recipe found in a book by changing up the apples a bit and made it into an easy tart made with just milk. You may end up with some leftover apples at Step 11, but it's fine that way, since they're delicious just by on their own. Please don't use up all the leftover egg at Step 10. It should only be spread thinly throughout the entire crust. Recipe by peko&poko cookpad.japan -
Apple Crumble Apple Crumble
This recipe was written up for the British Embassy's campaign, "A Taste of Britain" For more information, see the Facebook page www.facebook.com/oishii.igirisuIt's also delicious when made with European pears, cherries, plums, or rhubarb. Bramley apples are the best, but any tart red apples are good. It's standard to cover crumble in hot and thick custard but I also recommend that you try "Whisky Ice Cream",. I wanted to enjoy Kogyoku apples, which are in season, in a simple way, so I thought up a bread dough recipe that enhances the flavor of the apple.Make sure that the dough bakes into as round a shape as possible. My Apple Pie My Apple Pie
Now that it's getting colder, it's the season for pie. And when I think of Jonathan apples that means one thing, apple pie. I'm not very good at using normal flaky pastry and the apples get soggy, so I always bake the apples first and make the pie like this.If the pastry becomes too soft while carrying out these steps then please continue doing them while chilling the pastry in the fridge. The amount of apples you will need will change according to the size of the pie and apples. This pie isn't so sweet, so please adjust the sugar amount to make it sweeter if you wish. Apple Jam Apple Jam
I wanted to use this for a dinner dish, so I made jam without sugar!! It's quite sweet and tart. The salt and the water are used to release the moisture from the apple, so you only need a little bit, but the amount of moisture released will depend on the size and condition of the apple, so add more water if necessary.Mashed Fuji apple jam will be slightly firm. Apple Crumble Cake Apple Crumble Cake
I hate sticky, watery apple cakes so I reduced the liquid in the apples before baking to prevent that from happening.Make sure to beat the butter well until white and fluffy, this will make the cake moist! If you use a better quality flour it's probably OK not to sift it. However, I use cheap flours that tend to form lumps so I sift it once more before mixing. Recipe by Katsurachan cookpad.japan -
