Steps
- 1
Crumble the kunafa dough with your hands nicely by mixing metled butter and yellow food colour. Mix very nicely until the dough is well incorporated with the butter and food colour.
- 2
In a pot add milk, add to it sugar and cornflour. Turn the stove on and keep on stirring until you get thick consistency. Turn off the stove. Bring this mixture to room temperature and add cream cheese by whisking nicely until no lumps are seen.
- 3
Grease a baking pan with butter nicely. Place half of the kunafa dough firmly on the base of pan. Pour milk mixture. Spread it nicely. Then cover the mixture with remaining kunafa dough until the mixture gets fully covered.
- 4
Bake the kunafa in an oven for 15 to 20 minutes on 180°C. Give it colour on top by switching on the top grill of your oven.
- 5
In a pan prepare sheera by adding sugar and water. Cook until sugar dissolves. Let it cool a little
- 6
Once your kunafa is ready, pour over it the sheera that you prepared. Garnish the kunafa with pistachios. Serve hot.❤
