First, wash the dal and soak for an half-hour. Wash the palak and cut finely.

In a pressure cooker put the palak add 1/4 cup water and cook on medium flame untill it becomes soft.mash lightly with a ladle. Now add the soaked dal green chillies ginger and roughly chopped onion.add 1 tsp salt or as your taste.add 1&1/2 cup water cover the lid and cook it for two whistles comes.Turn off the gas.release the pressure naturally.check the dal and add water if required.

In a tadka pan take oil heat it then add onion slices, green chillies and garlic cloves.when it turns light brown turn off the flame and give tadka to dal.the delicious palak dal is ready.
