Ingredients

  1. packChicken thighs or pork chops family size
  2. 1/2-1 tbspseasoning
  3. To taste Garlic powder
  4. To taste Black pepper
  5. To taste Cayenne
  6. To taste Tony’s or other creole seasoning
  7. 1/2-1bell pepper (depending on size)
  8. 1/2onion
  9. Minced Garlic
  10. 2-3stalk’s celery
  11. 1 tbspflour
  12. As neededOlive oil or vegetable oil (enough to coat the bottom of the pan)
  13. Approx 1 cup water
  14. 1/2 tspKitchen bouquet

Cooking Instructions

    Make a a Glass of wine or drink of choice because why not!

    Season your meat WELL and set to the side

  3. 3

    Chop onions, bell pepper, celery and combine with minced garlic (fresh or jar)

  4. 4

    Fry seasoned meat in oil in large cast iron skillet or Dutch oven until browned on both sides then remove from pan and set aside

  5. 5

    Using the drippings in the pan sauté the vegetables and add a little water to keep them moist (anything stuck to the pan will come up in this step)

  6. 6

    Once sauted and soft, add remainder of water and then stir in 1 tbsp of flour and mix until slightly thick and then add kitchen bouquet and mix until desired color

  7. 7

    Add meat back into mixture and cover continue to cook on low heat until meat is tender. (Note you can also transfer to dutch oven or cast iron skillet and bake for 30-45 min which I think is easiest)

    Add more seasoning to taste if needed and voila!

    Serve over white rice and enjoy with a side vegetable like green beans!
