#dals One of my most favourite and simple dal which I love to have with a bowl of steamed rice and papad during that me time, pampering myself to slurp of that dal and relax with good music and a window seat in my room. Simple recipe for some simple and lazy days😋

Wash and pressure cook the moong dal with salt and turmeric for 4-5 whistle. It should be well cooked and mushy.

Heat a pan with oil and spluter mustard and cumin and a pinch of asafoetida. Add the onions and slit green chillies. Saute until translucent.

Add the tomato and salt. Fry for few minutes and add the red chilli powder and sambar powder. Saute until oil oozes out. Add the cooked dal and 1/4 cup of water according to your consistency. Let it boil for 5-7 minutes and done. Serve hot with rice and a tsp of ghee and 😋 enjoy your meal !
