Steps
- 1
First of all, beat sugar and butter until creamy. Add the rest of the ingredients one by one and make a dough that is not a tight one but is more similar to that of a crumbly mix.
- 2
Keep it in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes covered properly. Preheat the oven on 180°for 10 minutes. With the help of a rolling pin, roll it into a rectangular shape.
- 3
Using the hands, try to gather it close and tap it to keep in shape because this dough breaks down easily as there is no binding agent in it. Using a round cookie cutter or any sharp edged glass or bowl, cut crescent moon shapes.
- 4
Collect the remaining dough and follow the same until you finish it off fully. Arrange these in a baking tray lined with the parchment paper.
- 5
Bake on for 15 minutes. They should retain their colour and take care not to brown them much. Serve them with the most popular Irani Chai.
