This is a dish from bundelkhand. Usually it is a winter preparation. But we can enjoy it in any season. In winters quantity of black gram is just doubled. Because black gram is heavy to digest.
Steps

Take overnight soaked black gram (kale chaane), wash properly. Grind it in a smooth paste.

In a large bowl take aata add salt and carom seeds, mix it properly. Now mix ground black gram paste in it and knead a soft dough. Keep a side.

After 8-10 minutes make lemon sized balls of dough. Roll like a chapati. This chapati should be little thick. Place it on heated tawa and cook on both sides.

With the help of tong place it direct flame and cook until you get fully puffed roti.

Apply ghee on roti and serve hot.
