Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 8 ozelbow macaroni
  2. 1 poundGround Beef
  3. 1 jarRagu pasta sauce (I use traditional style meat)
  4. 1 canPieces and Stems mushrooms
  5. 1/2a Yellow Onion diced (or a generous amt of Dry Minced Onion)
  6. 1/2a Green Pepper diced (optional)
  7. 1 cup(or more) Shredded Mozzarella - divided
  8. 1/4 cupGrated Parmesan Cheese
  9. Generous sprinkle of Dried Italian Seasoning

Cooking Instructions

    Brown the ground beef, onion and green pepper over medium heat

  2. 2

    Drain the fat if there is too much

  3. 3

    Add mushrooms and finish browning the meat

  4. 4

    Stir in the sauce, reserving about 1 cup

  5. 5

    In a glass baking dish spread about a cup of sauce in the bottom to prevent sticking

  6. 6

    Layer macaroni, then sauce, then mozzarella. Repeat with remaining macaroni, sauce, and mozzarella.

  7. 7

    Top with Parmesan Cheese and Italian Seasoning

  8. 8

    Bake at 350 for 7 minutes until cheese is melted and sauce is hot

  9. 9

    Get ready for guests to ask for more.
