Steps

In a big pot take adequate amount of water to make yakhni. Put chicken, whole onion, whole ginger, garlic cloves, whole tomato, sabut dhaniya, saunf, all sabut garam masala (as mentioned in recipe card)

Cook this yakhni for 20 minutes on very slow flame. Take out chicken when done and strain the yakhni. Discard all the left over material.

In a pot add oil, fry onions until golden. Add ginger garlic paste then add chicken and yogurt. Cook on high flame until oil separates.

Add salt, black pepper and green chilli paste and cook for another minute.

Add soaked rice and prepared yakhni. Cook until rice are 3/4th done.

Cover now with a lid and cook on very slow flame until all the water of rice is absorbed.

When the water is about to get absorbed add fried onions on rice and cover again with lid and put on dum

Once the water is all absorbed and the rice are done, switch off flame

Dish out hot and serve with love ❤
