Peel and grate the bottle gourd. Squeeze the excess water. Add gram flour,1/2tsp salt,a pinch red chilli powder and mix everything well. Divide it in equal parts and make a round shape balls.

Heat oil in a kadhai and fry all prepared koftas till they turn golden brown and crisp on the outside on medium heat. Remove from heat and keep it in absorbent paper and keep aside.

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan for gravy. Add bay leaf and cumin seeds. When it's crackled add ginger,green chilli and garlic and saute for a minute.

Add chopped onions and saute until light golden brown in colour. Add turmeric powder,coriander powder,red chilli powder and garam masala powder and mix. Cook on medium heat..stir continuously.

Add tomato puree and salt and saute till the oil surfaces. Add salt and 2 cup of water and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and cook for 5 minutes.off the flame.

While serving arrange the koftas on serving plates.pour the gravy over them.garnished with fresh cream and coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice or roti.
