In a bowl,put your flour,baking powder,cinnamon,lemon zest,salt and mix with a whisk then make a well at the center.Add beaten egg(in the milk add the vegetable oil) and add it in the well and mix with a mwiko.

Remove it from the bowl and knead in a floured surface till its a soft but not so hard dough and let it sit for an hour or so covered with a hot wet cloth.

Cut into portions and roll.(Roll without adding any flour.Just roll slowly) then cut into desired shapes and put them on a bit floured place to prevent them from sticking.

Heat your oil(place the end of your mwiko in the heating oil and if bubbles appear know its ready for frying).

Serve with hot tea or any desired beverage and enjoy!
