Ingredients

25 mins
4 pax
  1. 5 pieces- katla/rohu
  2. 400 gm- curd
  3. 2slitted green chillies
  4. 3cardamom
  5. 3cloves
  6. 2cinnamon stick
  7. 4-5black pepper cord
  8. 2bay leaves
  9. 1/2 tbspbesan
  10. 1 pinchturmeric powder
  11. 1 tbsponion juice
  12. 1 tbspginger juice
  13. 5 gmghee
  14. 1 pinchgaram masala powder
  15. 1 tbschopped coriander leaves
  16. 10 gmraisins.
  17. 4 tbsp mustard oil. Seasoning as required

Steps

  1. 1

    Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric. Fry the pieces in mustard oil lightly, do not over fry them

  2. 2

    In a bowl of curd add ginger juice, onion juice, salt, besan whisk well to avoid lumps

  3. 3

    Heat oil temper whole spices.. remove from heat and add the curd mixture. Stir vigorously to avoid curdling

  4. 4

    Add the fish pieces. Cover and cook for 10 min

  5. 5

    Finish with chopped coriander leaves, garam masala powder and ghee on top.

  6. 6

    Done.. serve with ghee bhat or plain rice.
