Green Tamal Pudding

This recipe is perfect for when you have leftover tamales or if they turned out too dry. It's been a tradition in my family for several generations. In this case, I made it for one person, but you can easily adjust the quantities for more servings. I made it green because I had green salsa tamal, but you can also use mole, red salsa, or whatever you have on hand.

Steps
- 1
Have all the ingredients ready, as we will be layering them. In a baking dish, place a layer of green salsa, followed by a layer of tamal, and then shredded chicken. Cover with more green salsa, sour cream, and cheese.
- 2
Add another layer of tamal, chicken, salsa, cream, and cheese. Finally, add the last layer of tamal, salsa, cream, and cheese, without chicken. I make it with three layers, but you can add more if your dish is deep. Cover with plastic wrap.
- 3
Place in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C). Bake for 15 minutes or until the salsa is bubbling and the cheese is melted. Ready to enjoy!
