Chocolate Cake Soaked with Chocolate Sauce
I wanted to make a cake that was very fluffy and soaked with chocolate sauce. I was thinking of making it easy, affordable, and quick, so this idea came to me. I made it, and it turned out to be melt-in-your-mouth, fluffy, and very delicious. I really loved it and hope you enjoy it too!
Steps
- 1
In a blender, beat the eggs until foamy. Add the sugar and blend well with the eggs. Add the milk, then gradually add the oil in three parts to prevent the cake from becoming dense. Add a pinch of salt and the vanilla extract.
- 2
Pour the mixture into a large mixing bowl. Sift the flour into the bowl to aerate it, which helps the cake rise. Use a hand whisk to mix the flour into the batter until well combined. Sift in the cocoa powder and mix again. Finally, add the baking powder and whisk for one more minute.
- 3
Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan or baking dish. Tap the pan lightly on the counter three times to release any air bubbles. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 45–50 minutes, or until fully cooked through.
- 4
For the sauce, combine all the sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Stir well to combine, then place over low heat. Stir until everything is melted and smooth. Bring to a gentle boil, then remove from heat and let cool in the refrigerator until chilled.
- 5
Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and poke holes all over the top with a fork. Immediately pour the cold sauce over the hot cake, making sure to cover it evenly. Let the cake cool completely, then cut and decorate as you like with shredded coconut, cake decorations, or nuts. Serve and enjoy!
