Eral thokku is a spicy and delicious semi gravy prawn masala which is popular in Tamilnadu. Made with small prawns which is perfect for any south Indian meal.

Eral thokku is a spicy and delicious semi gravy prawn masala which is popular in Tamilnadu. Made with small prawns which is perfect for any south Indian meal.
Steps

Heat oil in a pan, add in the cumin seeds and curry leaves.

Add the sliced onions and saute for a minute. Then add the ginger garlic paste and saute till the Raw smell leaves.

Add the chopped tomatoes and mix well with the onions.

Further add in the salt, spice powders and mix everything well.

Add little water, cover the pan and cook till tomatoes are mushy.

Now add the prawns, saute well with the masala, sprinkle some coriander leaves.

Check for salt and spice. Cover the pan and let it cook for 2 minutes. Prawn thokku is ready to serve.

Transfer to a bowl and serve hot with Rice, Dosa, idli and Chapathi.
