I made dhokla today with a little twist. I used dosa batter to prepare it. You should definitely try it too! You can enjoy this for breakfast or dinner.
Steps

Blend all the ingredients for the green chutney together. Add 3 tablespoons dosa batter and mix well. The combination of chickpea flour and dosa batter helps it spread evenly.

Add salt to the dosa batter. Pour water into a steamer and grease a plate with oil. Place the plate in the steamer to heat. Spread a thin layer of dosa batter on the plate. Steam for 6 minutes.

Remove the plate and evenly spread the green layer filling on top. Steam again for 4 minutes.

Now, spread another layer of dosa batter on top. Steam for 10 minutes.

Check with a toothpick—if it comes out clean, the dhokla is ready.

Heat oil and prepare the tempering. Spread it over the dhokla with a spoon and cut into square pieces.

Serve with garlic chutney.
