Steps

Take a bowl mix soft butter, sugar and mix it properly.

Add vanilla essence and mix it.

Add maida baking powder and mix it lightly crumbled.

Transfer it into the platform and divide into 2 parts 2:1ratio.

Add milk into both for binding. Add food colour into 1 portion and mix it.

Roll out the red dough into 1/2 cm of thickness and cut into star shape.

Layer all the star shape one on another with a light layer of water in between and keep in freezer for 30 minutes.

Remove from the deep freezer and wrap white dough around it, roll it and again keep in refrigerator for more 30 minutes.

Preheat kadai add salt at the bottom and place the stand and place a plate of cookies on it.

Cook on low flame for 20 minutes. Check every 5 to 7 minutes in between to get slightly golden brown colour on edges.

Let cookies gets cool. Store in air tight container for 10 days.
