Chicken biryani is an aromatic dish, made with basmati rice and chicken as the name implies, along with some spices and herbs. My spouse usually goes to a restaurant to get it and you know they say a way to a man's heart is through his stomach so I decided to learn how to cook this Indian delicacy.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsbasmati rice
  2. Chicken parts with bones
  3. 1 1/2 cupsplain yogurt
  4. 1 tbspnGaram masala
  5. 1tspn tumeric powder
  6. 2-3 podscardamon
  7. 4-5cloves
  8. 1 tbspnghee
  9. 1 stickcinnamon
  10. 2big bulbs of onions
  11. 1 cupvegetable oil
  12. 4seasoning cubes
  13. to taste Salt

Cooking Instructions

    Pour water into a pot place on a source of heat add ghee,cloves to the water.wash the soaked basmati rice

  2. 2

    Bring the water to a boil add the rice some cinnamon and bay leave.

    In another pot add some vegetable oil fry some onions until it turns brown place the chicken parts on it add some garam masala and stir fry

    Add a lil water to it add chilli salt seasoning cubes tumeric cover up untill it's Almost cooked

    Add the yougurt mint leaves and spring onions cover up to cook for another 5minutes

  6. 6

    When the rice is cooked get an empty pot then you layer them up placing rice at the bottom followed by the chicken sauce rice over it and sauce until you exhaust them give it some mins to steam under low flame

  7. 7

    Serve with drinks of choice
