Found this Portuguese recipe on tik tok and since we had our friends homemade chorizo we decided to make it but added on top of rice instead of eating as a soup. It is soooooo good!

Cook chorizo in a pan until browned. Remove meat, leaving grease in the pan.

Sauté onion and garlic in the chorizo grease for 3-5 minutes.

Add chopped potatoes and stir to coat in the flavors.

Pour in chicken stock and simmer until potatoes are soft.

Return chorizo to the pot and add chopped kale. Simmer briefly.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot over white rice or enjoy on its own.
Tips
Using homemade chorizo adds a unique flavor to the soup.
