Idli

Idli doesn't need any introduction. We even celebrate Idli day every year on March 20. It's healthy breakfast. You can make masala idli from leftover idlis. I have had best idli in Tamilnadu.

Steps
- 1
Soak the rice and dal together for over night.
- 2
Next morning grind it. A note - many people are using mixer to grind it but my personal experience is you can grind better in wet grinder. While grinding, you can add salt.
- 3
Once it is ready, pour the batter into vessel which you can close it tightly. If not, you can keep some weight on covered vessel. Keep it for over night.
- 4
Next day, grease the idli mould with ghee or butter. Pour the batter carefully and steam it for 15 minutes.
- 5
Demould it. You can serve idlis with coconut chutney or Sambhar. Enjoy your healthy breakfast.
