Steps

Wash and soak urad daal and rice minimum 5hours add methi dana to urad dal. Grind both daal and rice in smooth paste.

Keep overnight for fermentation you can add pinch of soda or baking powder also.

Add salt in batter, finely chopped onion, tomatoes, green chillies, coriander leaves, curry leaves in morning and mix well.
Grease appam pan with oil, heat the pan add batter and cover the lid and let it cook in steam.
Serve with coconut chutney.
